Day 1: Departure.
Day 2: Arrival - Yerevan city tour - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots Temple.
Arrival at the Zvartnots airport. Meet and greet transfer, accommodation at the hotel in Yerevan. After breakfast city tour. Visit Tsitsernakaberd. Walking through Memorial park and visit museum of the victims of Genocide. Drive to Echmiadzin – the Mother Church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, located in the city of Vagharshapat, Armenia. It was the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia, and is considered the oldest cathedral in the world. Return to Yerevan with a stop at the ruins of Zvartnots temple - The pearl of the 7th century architecture which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3: Yerevan-Khor Virap-Noravank-Yerevan Tour to Khor-Virap monastery. The Khor Virap is an Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat valley in Armenia, near the border with Turkey.
It is a wonderful masterwork situated on top of a hill. The
best part is the best view to the biblical Mt. Ararat. Continue tour to Noravank monastery - Noravank is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located 122km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu river, near the city of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. The gorge is
known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. Drive back to
Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 4: Yerevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan Drive to Geghard monastery.
Geghard is a unique architectural construction in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Due to its construction Geghardavank serves the best place for singing spiritual songs. The Temple of Garni is a first century Hellenic temple near Garni, Armenia. It is the only pagan temple in Armenia that survived the Christianization of the country in the early 4th century. The fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Return back to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 5: Yerevan - Lake Sevan - Noraduz - Yerevan
Departure from Yerevan to Lake Sevan, about 70 miles north of Yerevan. Lake Sevan is one of the largest freshwater alpine mountain lakes in the world. Lake Sevan is situated in the central part of the Republic of Armenia, in the Gegharkunik Province, at the altitude of 1,900 m (6,200 ft) above sea level. Visit also to Noraduz, ancient cemetery with medieval khachkars (cross-stones) dating back to 6th c. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 6: Yerevan - Vernissage or Gum Market
Visit the open air market Vernissage. This open market is 2 minutes from the Republic Square, open on Saturdays and Sundays. There was a great selection of almost everything souvenirs, glass, paintings…
Day 7: Additional tours upon request
Leisure time to enjoy Yerevan.
Day 8: Departure. Transfer to the airport.
